Come and join and learn one of
the popular genres of dance and music created in Angola,derived
directly from Zouk music, sung generally in Portuguese, it is a genre
of music with a romantic flow mixed with African rhythm.
During the classes, you will
learn in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere as our aim is not only
to teach you KIZOMBA but also to spend and share a nice momdent with
you .After practice what you’ve learned in the class, meet other
dancers, make new friends and enjoy the music played by the DJ and
experience the best way to spend your Wednesdays evenings.

Kizomba
is an african rhythm and one of the most popular genres of
dance and
music created in Angola. Derived directly from
Zouk music, sung generally in
Portuguese, it is a genre of music with a romantic flow mixed
with African rhythm. The kizomba dancing style is also known to be
very sensual. Although it was created in
Angola it is often considered Portuguese due to the influence of
immigrants, and evolution of the genre in this country.The origin of
Kizomba dance was developed in
Angola.Since late 1970s,early 1980s,Kizomba being born in acontinent
with effervescent musical history and is a result of an
evolution:young generations ,listening to traditional music like
semba,felt something was missing-a modern and sensual touch,adding
an electronic percussion with aslow and extremely sensual rhythm.So
Kizomba It is a fusion of
Semba (the predecessor of
samba) with the
Zouk (from the island Antilles)music styles from the French
Caribbean Islands with influences from other
Lusophone countries. It is also performed in other
lusophone African countries a modern and sensual touch and It is
known for having a slow, insistent, somewhat harsh, yet sensuous
rhythm; the result of electronic percussion. It is ideally danced
accompanied by a partner, very smoothly and slowly, though not too
tightly. A rather large degree of flexibility in the knees is
required, owing to the frequent requirement that dancers bob up and
down,it a warmand unique experience that you will want to repeat
again and again.The result was the composition of a slowe and very
sensual pace,Kizomba as we know today is a explosive and contagious
dance and conquered the world as a sound that stay in the ear and as
a dance that seduce your soul. Corrently Kizomba is very popular
dance in Portugal,England,Freance,Holland,and spreading fast all
around the world and who know to dance Kizomba doesn’t want to stop
and who do not know ,just want to learn……
